This may seem like a silly question. I'm an adult, why would I need a Super Hero. It doesn't matter how old you are, you will always need inner strength, your inner Super Hero. This inner hero holds your confidence. I thought of this question when I was running the Hero's Run.
As I contemplated the question, I came up with many different words. I believe my calling is to inspire those who don't feel important or smart, the under dog, the misfit, the person who doesn't believe in themself, the person who lacks confidence. As I thought about this, I realized there isn't just one word to sum up my inner super hero but many words. In fact these words may change as I'm used to inspire different people at different times in mine or their lives.
Here are a few words I would use to describe my inner Super Hero.
Determined - Empowering - Encouraging - Inspiring - Limitless - Motivator - Overcomer - Strong - Vulnerable - Messy - Aged - Quirky - Loving - Driven - Stubborn and the list goes on. My Super Hero can't lump over large buildings but she can conquer struggles in life. She is ENOUGH! She has many scars from past experiences, those that are visible and those that are not. She has walked through the deepest of valleys and over the tallest of mountains. She is the drive that pushes me every day to be a better person. She helps me stand up when I'm knocked down, whether it is from hurtful words or my own lack of confidence. She even helps others see the bright side of themselves in their dark days and smiles with them on their happy days.
Again, I ask, Who is your inner Super Hero? If you aren't sure, take a moment to think about it. What makes you special? What drives you to be better? to never give up? Embrace your inner Super Hero!! We all need encouragement from time to time. Sometimes,
there is no one around to give us the inspiration we need to get through the struggles we face. Find your inner strength to face each day, your inner SUPER HERO!!
