Someone I love made an incredible statement today. She is making choices that her family doesn’t agree with, however they want her to be honest with them. When she is, they get upset. She said when I’m gone, these things won’t matter. She is right! Life is too short and precious to hold choices of others against them. She is living her life. Rightly so, this is her life to live.
We only know our experiences and what motivates us to make our choices. Who is anyone to judge? Just because you don’t agree with someone, doesn’t make you right. Open up your heart and mind. Love in spite of your differences. What a boring world we would live in if we were all the same. I love meeting people that have a different out look on life, it motivates me to get out of my box and see a bright, colorful, beautiful world of great people.
Love your family today, while you can because tomorrow they may not be here. I know this because two years ago tomorrow, my momma died. I knew I needed to be with her by noon but I was too busy at work. When I got the call, shortly after noon, I threw everything in my car and went straight to her. I didn’t leave her until they took her away. I miss her more every day. They say, time heals but I’m not finding that to be true. Every year that passes, I miss her more and wish I had one more day with her in good times and bad.
This Christmas, hug everyone you can. Smile and share Happiness!
Momma in her glory days.
