The English laugage has some many words but we only use a small faction of them on a daily basis. Most of us don't bother to learn new words, we settle with our limited vocabulary. There are two words that are used daily and they are my pet pev words. Never and always. Never was first recorded in old english meaning "not" "ever". Always was recorded in middle english, it often expresses or implies repetition as producing the uniformity or continuance: The sun always rises in the east. However, The negitive condensation of these words and the lack of truth when they are used drives me up the wall. You "never" talk to me. You are "always" on your phone. Really?! He "never" speaks to you? Was he born with a phone in his hand? These words are not used properly.
If you haven't learned by now, the old adage, Never Say Never, you will. There have been times in my life when I said, I will "Never" do this or that. Only to live a little longer when I did do this and that. Never will make a liar out of you, just live a little longer.
I'm not sure why these words bother me so much. Maybe, I've heard them so much in my life and life has proved them wrong. Do you have a word or words that are like nails on a chalkboard for you? Life has a funny way of making small things or words strike a cord within us, it should get
us thinking. These words do get to me but as I look back over my life, they are trivial. There are so many things we take for granted by allowing the pet pevs affect us in a negative manner. As I age, I'm working on not allowing the things that once stopped me in my tracks to bother me but find the positive, find something good. It is so easy for us to think negative thoughts but we can retrain our brains to find the good. Laugh and find joy in every situation. There may be times when life kicks you down but stand back up and keep fighting the good fight.
You will "never" find your true happiness if you stay on the ground.
