I was born and raised in Louisiana. I need you to read this in your best country voice to get the full effect. I love being outside in the fresh air, playing in the backyard, walking a 5K, floating in the pool or playing badminton. I'm the badminton champ, if only in my backyard. As soon as I win the lottery, we are moving to Maui. I love the beach and the sound of the waves. Beach front anywhere is my happy place.
Most Saturdays you will find me doing a 5K. I started running, and when I say running I mean walking, when I was diginoised with seven deformities to my feet and the future was grim. I decide to take control and started walking, that was a few years ago. I haven't stopped crossing finish lines since.
I still live with pain and physical limitations on a daily basis, but I won't stop until I finish the race.
I became a certified personal trainer a few years ago because of my dislike of working out. If I'm the trainer, I can make it FUN! Many of my clients agree that I put the "F" "U" in FUn. This is something I'm very proud of. It means I'm doing my job. I don't get to train as much anymore, but I still love making an impact in lives.
I've worked in Customer Service, Administration and Human Resources. I like to think of myself as Jack-of-all-Trades / Master-of-None. I'm a professional photographer. I've shoot weddings, senior photos, children but my favorite is animals. I love taking photos of animals, they don't talk back or complain about their bad side.
I'm the author of Life Happens - Enjoy the Ride. I share stories of my life that make me, Me. Nothing is off limits, I'm vulnerable and real, owning my mistakes and learning to forgive myself.
I'm forever the Karaoke Princess and have sang at weddings and I've had the honor of singing at many funerals. Yes, I said funerals and it was a huge honor each time. Being able to celebrate someone's life is a great honor.
I love people where they are and I never give up, no matter what odds are against me. I inspire, encourage and challenge others to do the same. I've been educated in the school of life. This education is not one to be taken lightly.
I celebrate life and the differences of others. I love the fact that we are all different, I couldn't handle a world that was cookie cutter.
